A four-day intensive programme combining UNDSS- and UNSSC-aligned safety and security training with advanced trauma first-aid skills (MARCH protocol) for personnel deploying into volatile, high-risk and humanitarian operating environments.
A field-tested curriculum designed for professionals working in fragile, conflict-affected and humanitarian contexts — where situational awareness and rapid medical response save lives.
The SSAFE & IFAK 2.0 Level 3 programme prepares personnel for deployment into volatile and high-risk environments by combining advanced security awareness with emergency medical response training. The curriculum is built around real-world operational scenarios encountered by UN agencies, NGOs, diplomatic missions and private-sector field staff.
Delivered using UNDSS (United Nations Department of Safety and Security) and UNSSC (United Nations System Staff College) frameworks, the course integrates classroom learning with high-fidelity simulations, vehicle drills, communications exercises and field problem-solving — mirroring the conditions participants will face on deployment.
The IFAK 2.0 component equips participants with trauma-care competencies aligned to the internationally recognised MARCH protocol (Massive Haemorrhage, Airway, Respiration, Circulation, Hypothermia/Head injury), including tourniquet application, wound packing, airway management and casualty extraction.
Enhance situational awareness, threat assessment and personal preparedness for field operations.
Respond effectively to security incidents including ambush, IED, active-shooter and hostile crowd scenarios.
